Delete your Khaado account
This page explains how to delete your account in the Khaado app, published by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], and what happens to your data when you do. You can delete it yourself in the app, or ask us by email if you no longer have the app.
Delete it in the app
- Open Khaado and sign in with your mobile number.
- Go to the Account tab.
- Tap Delete my account at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap Yes, delete it to confirm.
Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out on all devices.
Ask us by email
If you have uninstalled the app or can't sign in, email [CONTACT EMAIL] with the subject Delete my Khaado account and include the mobile number you signed up with.
To make sure the request really comes from you, we may send a one-time code to that number and ask you to reply with it. We delete the account within 30 days of confirming the request and email you when it's done.
What gets deleted
- Your mobile number and your name, if you added one
- Your sign-in sessions on every device
- Your notification tokens and settings, and the rough area kept for nearby alerts
- The shops you follow
What we keep
Records of past reservations and payments, and any ratings you gave, are kept because shops' settlements, refunds and accounting depend on them. Once your account is deleted, nothing in them identifies you. We keep these anonymous records for [RETENTION PERIOD].
If you have an order in progress
If you have a box still waiting to be collected, you can delete your account once you've picked it up or the order has been cancelled and refunded. If you started a checkout and didn't pay, it expires within ten minutes. You can delete your account after that, and there's nothing to pay.
